The announcement of The Impact Environmental Group (IEG) as a finalist in the 2024 National Sustainability Awards filled us with immense pride and gratitude. This recognition not only celebrates our dedication to providing waste and recycling products and services but also serves as a powerful reminder of the positive impact we strive to make on the environment.
Reflecting on this achievement, we are reminded of the journey that brought us here, one driven by a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and making a difference for future generations. Being named as a finalist is not just a moment of triumph; it is a testament to the collective efforts of everyone at IEG and our ongoing responsibility to contribute to a cleaner, greener world.
IEG were recognised in the Circular and Recycling – Materials Recycling category, acknowledging the company’s substantial environmental endeavours and those of its four UK-based brands, which over the last year have further strengthened their contribution to circularity.
In 2023, IEG bolstered its position in the UK, with two further acquisitions cementing the group as a global waste industry category leader. UK Container Maintenance (UKCM) and Capital Compactors and Balers (CCL) joined Container Components Europe (manufacturer of Duraflex lids), and Egbert H Taylor to sit within IEG’s UK-based portfolio of industry-leading brands.
The group plays an important role in the pursuit of a circular economy, providing products and services to the global waste and recycling industries. IEG is a procurer of top-quality materials and a key advocate for sustainability, whilst maintaining competitive prices.
Significantly, the business is pursuing integrated logistics offering a combined lower-carbon solution as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to the circular economy. In addition, by utilising multiple locations in the UK, IEG is achieving faster shipping times and reduced costs, not only enhancing operational efficiency but also underscoring a commitment to meeting customer needs promptly and sustainably.
Pete Dickson, Commercial Director at Impact Environmental Group, commented: “As a leading international solutions provider for the waste and recycling industries, it is an honour to be shortlisted for this coveted national accolade. As we strive to support a sustainable future, in receiving this high-profile recognition we are affirming and highlighting our commitment to waste reduction and journey to zero waste.”
Founded in 1999, IEG, headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, has rapidly grown into a global environmental products and services business, providing a comprehensive suite of new and replacement products for waste and recycling containers, collection and compaction equipment, and waste transportation equipment
