Our sustainable approach

Putting communities, the environment and our employee’s at the heart of everything we do.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We all strive to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We all believe that what we do each day personally or professionally contributes to the greater good. At Impact Environmental Group, we pride ourselves on playing an important role in the pursuit of a circular economy. IEG is a family of companies that provide products and services to the global waste and recycling industry. With locations positioned strategically around the US and Europe, each company in our portfolio plays a critical role in supporting the sustainability initiatives of our Customers. Our commitment to ESG
goes beyond our product and service base, but is embedded in our operations around
the globe as we continually look to reduce our own carbon footprint.

How do we achieve this at Impact Environmental Group?

Fundamentally, IEG is committed to supporting a more sustainable planet – through the containerisation of waste, focus on keeping steel assets in use through refurbishment programmes, intelligent equipment diagnostics that reduce wasted engineer miles and optimising logistics through drop off/pick ups, meaning no empty lorry miles. Our operational synergies are a powerful vehicle for change.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Reducing the environmental impact of our operations is a global target for every subsidiary in our Group. For our EMEA cohort, focus on reduced wastage in the supply chain by maximising container drop-offs with pick ups for refurbishment ensures no empty miles due to lack of appropriate planning.

Our Targets –

  • Minimise the impact of our own activities and supply chain, with a focus on carbon emissions reduction towards Net Zero.
  • Transitioning company vehicles to electric power, reducing emissions produced by field sales.
  • Encourage partners to join us on the path to Net Zero.
  • Prioritise investment opportunities where we can add long-term value in a climate resilient manner. Produce products that complement and enhance the environment throughout their entire life.
  • Develop our Manufacturing Model to minimise our impact on the environment while maximising our service levels to our stakeholders

Our products and services are centered on reducing waste, improving public engagement with recycling initiatives and bold equipment innovations that reduce field service road miles.

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS

We understand money talks, and through our communications strategies internally and externally we’re creating a culture of giving back to our local communities –

  • In 2025, we established a yearly raffle with the money raised by our teams matched by the business. Each employee donation includes a recommendation of a local organisation, the winners then receive a donation to their cause.
  • For 2026, we’re working with the Canal and River’s trust to support their efforts to clean up our Canal systems. Donating 1/2 a day of our Senior Leaders time towards litter-picking across our canal networks.
  • Our Bin Donation program also supports our contributions to local groups and organisations – Recently supporting Litchfield Council with equipment donations to support their public outreach.
  • Donations to Litchfield council also includes a monetary contribution to their Recycle for Good Campaign.

Culture

Reframing how our Group of businesses adapt to the ‘bigger picture’. Embedding practices that support communities and each other.

Engagement

Encouraging every department, our stakeholders, suppliers and customers to support efforts to combat inequality – highlighting causes we can be a part of.

Scalability

The job is never done. Our plans are to engage national organisations that can help us scale our ESG and CSR efforts nationally.

Tracability & Investment

Implementing software and enhanced reporting features to track our investments and how they’re scaled over time. Dedicating resources directly towards our Group Accountability Initatives that track our activities.

SOCIAL VALUE

Supporting the development of core skills and mental wellbeing, our social value initiatives aren’t solely focused on our employees and stakeholders. Whilst professional development is key to our operations staying at the forefront of policy and product development, IEG offers a unique partnership with a prison local to our Winsford site.

IEG provide currently incarcerated prisoners the valuable opportunity to work in the industrial workshops, restoring castors fitted to our refurbished waste containers. We supply the recycled parts, which are then transformed by inmates for use on four-wheel containers.

With ambitions to further expand the partnership throughout the year and therefore enhancing its contributions to a circular economy, IEG will double the quantities supplied to the prison.

In further support, since the start of the collaboration IEG have attended a duo of Career Fayres at the facility, sharing guidance and advice to inmates on employment and next steps. As part of the visit, team members from the firm conducted interviews with individuals interested in welding positions upon their release, providing feedback and offering permanent job opportunities for ex-offenders.

Refurbished Castors

Armed Forces Covenant

A dedication to sign the covenant, supporting Ex-Servicemen and women into work outside of the forces. A policy we will implement in 2026.

Educational Programs

Professional Development

Included in our dedication to supporting our employee’s, our focus on Health and Safety empowers teams to highlight, report and recommend safer systems of work, championing collaboration and idea-sharing directly from the factory floor.
